What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas…or ends up in a blog post, same thing right?
If you haven’t been to this bizarre world plonked in the middle of the desert, you need to put it on your to do list pronto.
Yes it may be excruciatingly hot, but you have to go and just see it with your own eyes to believe it. Even seeing it in the movies does not do it justice. It is the craziest, liveliest, most over the top place on earth. You are pretty much guaranteed blue skies and sunshine which can put even the grumpiest of people in a good mood.
We stayed at the Venetian, which is one of the biggest if not the biggest hotel on the strip. Even though we didn’t have much luck with a smooth check in and arrival, it was still an amazing stay and I would still recommend it! We were lucky enough to go Prestige this time which included drinks and breakfast over in the Palazzo complex which is a second tower that branches off the Venetian. The staff were helpful and friendly (especially the valet staff).
Best places to shop in Vegas? Just off the strip is some really good outlet stores. They have a bunch of different discounts running so its well worth a check out.
This visit saw me as a first time gambler! I learnt the hard way that the slot machines are slow but sure money eaters. Roulette is brilliant if you are having a particularly lucky day but the fastest way to loose a hundred bucks if not, and Black Jack is just all round awesome and the best fun out of the lot!
If you are like me and have no fun in extreme heat, do not go this time of year but wait till winter time.
Apart from that, it is just one of those places that you have to visit at lease once in your life and soak in. Just absorb everything, the lights, the extravagance and the randomness (scroll down for a casual Darth Vader pic…your welcome).
